The Jamaica Rent-A-Car Association (JRACA) was incorporated in October 1965, commencing with Fifteen (15) Rent-A-Car operators who saw the need to institutionalize the business. Since its inception, JRACA has had the support of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) in the shaping of the Rent-A-Car industry. Being part of a wider tourism product, JRACA is seen as "The Wheels That Drive Tourism" within the sector.
The Association's main objectives are:
1. To standardize and regularize the Rent-A-Car industry
2. To promote the business of its members on an organized and ethical basis
3. To provide a competitive and reliable product in the tourism industry
The strategic intent of the Association has been one of product improvement through the enlisting of members who would contribute to the quality of our tourism product.
As a contribution to corporate citizenship the Association has donated to organizations such as the Jamaica-German Automotive School, the Alpha Boys' Home and hospitals including University, Kingston Public, Cornwall Regional and St. Ann's Bay.
Our mission is to provide our customer with a "Quality Product" enhanced by "Quality Service."
Today, despite the many challenges we the members of JRACA continue to uphold the lofty goals set by our founders.
We thank all our customers, supporters and friends for standing by us through the years.
